SAFECHEM has been awarded once again with the certificate "Responsible Care in chemical trading" after an on-site audit. Responsible Care® is a voluntary initiative run by the Chemical Industry, aiming to achieve continuous improvements in the area of environmental protection, health and safety. The initiative is supported by chemical companies and associations in over 50 countries.
Ferdinand Pree, Manager EH&S and Quality, commented: “Being committed to the Responsible Care program means voluntarily doing more than what laws and regulations dictate. This global initiative supports SAFECHEM’s mission to ensure sustainable and innovative use of chemicals.”
SAFECHEM has been committed to the principles of Responsible Care® since 1997 and has set itself binding Responsible Care® targets. These targets are reviewed every three years by an expert commissioned by the German Association of Chemical Trade and Distribution (VHC) in an on-site audit.
